About
Van-Holiday is the celebration of your Inner Rock Star!
The guy who can belt out anthems that change the world. The woman who’s voice melts hearts and calls birds and small woodland creatures. The deadbeat, piece of used jet trash that can’t remember what town he’s in and never packs his own suitcase.
Each of us has one… simmering deep inside, waiting for that opportunity to dance on the table and release our demo.
The words holiday or vacation have related meanings in different English-speaking countries, but will usually refer to one of the following activities or events:
- A general leave of absence from a regular occupation for rest or recreation
- A general leave of absence from a regular occupation for rest or recreation
- Official or unofficial observances of religious/national/cultural/other significance, often accompanied by celebrations or festivities (public/religious holiday)
We propose Van-Holiday as a means to all three ends.
Calendar Initiative :: Saturday the 14th
Because Van-Holiday is such a good idea, we’ve decided that the festivities should be observed more than once a year. Henceforth, every Saturday the 14th shall be known as Van-Holiday.
What Can I Do?
Honestly, we’re not quite sure who to contact to get our Calendar Initiative on the books for next year’s calendars. Perhaps if we send letters of inquiry here and here. Beyond that, we encourage all individuals to nurture and ultimately release their own Inner Rock Star on every Saturday the 14th from here on out. Do what’s right… and shoot out the lights.
Let’s take it to the stage.
